 I didn't have any particular events this week, so I'll introduce my favorite things recently. My favorite food these days is chocolate bananas.  When I went to Tokyo for New Year's visit, I bought a chocolate banana for the first time at a food stall. I often see chocolate banana stalls at places where festivals and events are held, but I have never thought of buying one. However, the other day, when a friend invited me to buy chocolate bananas, I was deeply moved by how delicious they were. I can't forget the taste of chocolate banana, so I thought I'd try making it at home, but I failed. I want to eat a chocolate banana soon.

Have you ever eaten Margherita?  Margherita is one of the famous Italian dishes.  I like margherita very much, so I often eat it when I go to an Italian restaurant.  The name Margherita comes from Margherita, Queen of Italy.  When Queen Margherita visited Naples, a pizza chef presented a pizza with the image of the Italian flag. The queen liked it very much, which is the beginning of Margherita Pizza.  Also, it seems that Queen Margherita's birthday, November 20th, is pizza day.   I often make pizza at home, but I usually buy the dough from the supermarket.  I wanted to make pizza from dough, but I couldn't make it because I didn't have enough time.  I had the opportunity to make pizza from dough  with my friends on Christmas Eve, so I will introduce it.  It was easier than I thought, so I was surprised!  I went to eat sushi with my friends on Friday. My friend’s house is close to the school, so I asked her to pick us up at school by car. My friend just got her car license, so I was worried. However, it was a better drive than I expected.  I often go to eat sushi lately, but I never get tired of it. Recently, I really like Shimesaba. I ate chocolate banana parfait for sweets. I ate a little too much. I went with three friends on Friday, so it was fun to talk a lot. I bought sweets to my friend who drove the car. It was a lot of fun!

 I went to a hamburger shop called “World Burger” near Niigata Station on Tuesday. There are only 2nd period classes on Tuesdays, so I have free time in the afternoon. I saw this hamburger shop on Instagram before and wanted to go there.  The place where the shop is located has an old-fashioned atmosphere. I had the Argentinian Burger. The burger was huge and came out with a lot of gravy. I liked that it was a little sour. The atmosphere inside the store was calm and it was very comfortable. The hamburger was very delicious, so please visit this hamburger shop!

Happy new year! I returned to my hometown, Utsunomiya city of Tochigi Prefecture, during the New Year holidays. I went to Utsunomiya on December 28th and came back to Niigata on January 4th. I spent time hanging out with my local friends, helping clean the house, and visiting my grandmother. On January 3rd, I went to Meiji Shrine in Tokyo for New Year's visit. I went there with my high school friends.  There were so many people, so it took an hour to visit. I drew an omikuji and bought a lucky charm. After the New Year's visit, I went to Takeshita Street and looked around for old clothes. For dinner, we went to a Korean restaurant in Shibuya. The shrimp dish called “kanjanseu” was particularly delicious.  I was happy because I met some friends who I hadn't seen in a long time while I was back home.

 I went to an Italian restaurant called HUNGRY CLOSET with my friend. The store is near Niigata Station. It's a very stylish shop, and it was full because it was Christmas.  I ate a lunch set there. The appetizer platter looked very cute and the taste was also very delicious. The main pasta is called "King's Tomato Sauce". It was very delicious with a lot of cheese and a sweet sauce. Desserts also looked very cute and the yogurt compote was very delicious. I drank a non-alcoholic cocktail called "Purple Lemonade".  It was light purple in color and had a refreshing taste. There are desserts for a limited time, but they were already sold out and I couldn't eat them, so I'd like to try them next time.
