Have you ever eaten Margherita? Margherita is one of the famous Italian dishes. I like margherita very much, so I often eat it when I go to an Italian restaurant. The name Margherita comes from Margherita, Queen of Italy. When Queen Margherita visited Naples, a pizza chef presented a pizza with the image of the Italian flag. I often make pizza at home, but I usually buy the dough from the supermarket. I wanted to make pizza from dough, but I couldn't make it because I didn't have enough time. Materials to prepare
・strong flour : about 66g
・wheat flour: about 33g
・baking powder: 4g
・water : 70mL
・1 tomato
・basil
・Mozzarella cheese : 100g
1. In advance, preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
2. First, mix strong flour, wheat flour, and baking powder in a bowl. Make a 2:1 ratio of strong flour and wheat flour to make 100g, and add 4g of baking powder.
3. Second, prepare 70 mL of water, mix it with the powder you prepared earlier, and knead it. At this time, the point is to add water little by little while kneading. Knead until the dough you kneaded is no longer sticky on your fingers, and let it sit for a while.
4. Third, prepare the materials. Cut the tomato into 1 cm cubes. Tear off the basil leaves by hand.
5. Next, spread aluminum foil on a baking sheet and apply olive oil to the surface of the aluminum foil to prevent the dough from sticking to the aluminum foil.
6. Then, stretch the dough prepared on the aluminum foil to a thickness of about 5 mm to form a round shape.
7. After that, spread the pizza sauce over the dough. Using the back side of the spoon makes it easier to apply. Sprinkle the 100g of melted cheese.
8. Finally, bake in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes. (Until the cheese on the surface is browned.)
When I actually ate a pizza made with this recipe, the dough was very well made. You may want to mix the olive oil into the dough while kneading.
